I hated this course. It gave me the opportunity to both purchase (for $25) and actually crack open the "Science of Mind phone-book thingie" which surprised me with its eloquence. I had to focus on Science of Mind principles for the entirety of the nine weeks in order to ensure my homework got done each week during a very busy time. I found the final exam to be extremely frustrating, scoring only 68%. I thought the teaching was finally sinking in before this happened. How embarrassing! Now, I may have to take the course AGAIN.

Connected
How great the mind
how sweet and kind
it guides us to our truth
No way is wrong
no thought to strong
for older folks or youth
Step closer to the beating heart
and speak to God from here
let down the stress and come apart
release the tension with a tear
Feeling connected in the room
with another spirit soul
the energy dismisses gloom
I am a part of the whole
As life unfolds in front of you
you see with your own eyes
that what you think and say and do
reflects back to you quiet nice
Let ego go and peel away
a layer one or two
compassion casts a soothing ray
some things are hard to do
The gift I find inside of me
in silence I receive
when time is not reality
and strong is my belief
Oh fill my cup with joy and love

accepting all - is enough

Will it work? Will I find customers? Can I be a business person? I feel so weak sometimes. Am I worth it? Who really cares? Is this for me or someone else? Am I kidding myself? Why can I not just do it? Am I scared to loose what I have? What do I have? What is it that is mine?
Mine is the access to the One Mind, which is all knowing all good. Mine is the power of decision to claim my birthright of JOY, Health and Prosperity. Mine is the choice to let go of control and power over the outer world, mine is the right to live God’s ideas. I let go of all wants and needs that come through the outer world and I take time for myself to discover me. Today I believe in Divine Guidance. Today I believe that underneath me are everlasting arms. Today I rest in this divine security. I know, whatever comes to me is the right and perfect idea. I follow it with gratitude, never questioning it’s meaning. Being open and receptive to subconscious mind, trusting it is working for me. I release it, the pictures, the feelings and the thoughts and so it is.

RSI teaches that God, or Universal Mind is an impersonal power rather than being a kindly old gentleman with a long white beard. Universal Mind is a subjective mind that, although infinitely intelligent, has no intention because it is impersonal. As we come into greater alignment with this Universal Mind, we become more aware that the relationship between Universal Mind and our individualized minds is reciprocal. When I am working to manifest something on the physical plane, my mind is the personal element that impresses its desire on the impersonal element (Universal Mind). It receives my thoughts and responds by creating a corresponding physical representation of them. However, when I am seeking guidance, the positions are reversed. My mind becomes the impersonal element that receives information from the superior wisdom of the Universal Mind. I can then use this information in my interactions with the physical world. My outward circumstances bear witness to my relationship with Universal Mind. They are the result of my working with these scientific principles (although not always consciously) rather than the result of me being either rewarded or punished by a God with human attributes.
