The very last thing I share with my couples in their wedding ceremony is this: “And may you always remember that the love you seek to know in your lifetime is never found….outside of you.” This statement always receives recognition in the eyes of those that stand before me. It is as if, for a split second, they transcend the ‘in love” romanticism that played a big part in their decision-making to wed, and move to a deeper acceptance of the unfolding mystery they have both said yes to together.
A New Love is about the experiences we create in our lives that stem from a place we can never visit, not even in our dreams. A place which emerges from the conscious relinquishing of our needs and wants into our inherent birthright as one in the Nature of All. A love that can ask for support from a place of quiet confidence and expectancy of where two or more are gathered….rather than a desire for completion with another. This Nature is the constant self-givingness of Spirit, an Infinite Creative Intelligence that cycles back upon Itself always producing beyond that which has gone before.
Does our love produce beyond that which has gone before in our experience? What does, or would, that look like? Within this question is the fulfillment of love sought, as the answer becomes our own unique revelation of the loving nature of Spirit we are. How can this enquiry serve us in the busyness of our lives in a manner that produces not only more personal satisfaction and comfort within oneself, but a sustaining sense of universal connection and a world that works for everyone?
